About Empyrean Studio

Empyrean Studio is a product based design and engineering studio in India focused on building innovative apps for the Wix ecosystem, along with Android and iOS applications. We started by creating high quality websites on Wix and over time went deep into the platform, exploring how far we could push design and functionality.

After gaining experience as a Wix Partner and understanding a wide range of use cases, we have fully pivoted from client services to building our own products. Today, our focus is on crafting thoughtful, performant Wix Apps that solve real problems for users and showcase what is possible with modern web technology.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to build Wix Apps using Velo by Wix, Wix Blocks, and Wix CLI, along with related backend and integration work.

Experience with Velo by Wix is a plus but not mandatory. If you are strong in JavaScript and modern web technologies such as React.js and Express.js, you can learn Velo on the job. You will work end to end on features, from designing data models and APIs to implementing rich UI components and handling deployment for our Wix Apps.

This is a hands on, on site role in Rajkot. The role is focused specifically on Wix Apps (not Android / iOS development).

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Wix Apps using
  • Velo by Wix
  • Wix Blocks
  • Wix CLI and related tooling
• Develop full stack features for our products using JavaScript
  • Frontend components, views, and UI logic
  • Backend routes, APIs, and data models
• Integrate third party services and APIs into our Wix Apps
• Collaborate with the team to convert product ideas and designs into responsive, robust implementations
• Optimize apps for performance, security, SEO, and scalability
• Write clean, maintainable, and well documented code
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement of our development workflow

Required Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of professional web development or full stack experience
• Strong JavaScript skills, with solid experience in
  • React.js or similar frontend framework
  • Node.js with Express.js or similar backend framework
• Good understanding of
  • HTML5, CSS3, responsive design
  • REST APIs and JSON
  • Basic web security concepts and authentication flows
• Experience working with databases (for example MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Comfortable using Git and modern development workflows
• Ability to read documentation, learn new platforms quickly, and work independently on tasks
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a small, fast moving team
• Willingness to work on site full time in Rajkot, India

Preferred Skills (Nice to have)

• Experience with
  • Velo by Wix
  • Wix Blocks
  • Wix CLI
• Prior experience building apps or plugins on any platform marketplace (for example Shopify apps, browser extensions, WordPress plugins)
• Experience with TypeScript
• Familiarity with performance optimization, logging, and monitoring
• Basic understanding of UX principles and working with design systems

Compensation

• Salary in the range of ₹4.8 LPA to ₹7.2 LPA (depending on skills and experience)
